Description

iPhone 16e is Apple's most affordable and simplest current iPhone — it replaced the iPhone SE line on February 19, 2025. Its 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR (OLED) display runs at 2532-by-1170 resolution and 460 ppi, with 800 nits typical brightness and an HDR peak of up to 1200 nits. The front is Ceramic Shield and the body is aluminum with a glass back — not the titanium of the Pro models. Unlike iPhone 16/16 Pro, this model has no Dynamic Island; instead it has a traditional notch at the top of the screen. This configuration ships with 128GB of storage.

At its heart is the A18 chip: a 6-core CPU (2 performance and 4 efficiency cores), a 4-core GPU (fewer cores than the rest of the 16/17 lineup) and a 16-core Neural Engine with hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Alongside it sits the C1 modem — Apple's first self-designed cellular modem, a simpler version of the Air's C1X — which supports 5G on sub-6GHz only via 4x4 MIMO (no mmWave). Wireless connectivity runs on Wi-Fi 6 (not 6E or 7) and Bluetooth 5.3; this model has no Ultra Wideband chip.

Unlike the Pro models or even the standard iPhone 16, iPhone 16e has just one rear camera: a 48MP Fusion sensor with a 26 mm ƒ/1.6 lens, optical image stabilization and a sapphire crystal lens cover. The same sensor also produces a 2x digital telephoto crop (12MP, 52 mm equivalent); digital zoom continues up to 10x. The front camera is 12MP at ƒ/1.9 (not the 18MP Center Stage camera found on Pro/Air). 4K Dolby Vision video on this model tops out at 60 fps, and 1080p slow-motion is supported up to 240 fps.

Apple rates the battery at up to 26 hours of video playback (21 hours streamed, 90 hours of audio), charging to 50% in 30 minutes with a 20W-or-higher adapter. Wireless charging only works with generic Qi chargers — this model has no MagSafe magnetic system, so MagSafe accessories will not attach to it. It has an Action button on the body, but the Camera Control button (exclusive to the 16/16 Pro family and up) is not present on this model. The USB-C port runs at USB 2 speed. The body is rated IP68 and works with dual eSIM only, with no physical SIM tray. Buy the original Apple iPhone 16e in Erbil and the Kurdistan Region from Kurdoff — contact the seller for today's price and availability.

  • eSIM only, no physical SIM tray

Benefits

  • Aluminum body with a glass back and Ceramic Shield front

Cautions

  • This model has no Camera Control button — that feature is exclusive to the iPhone 16/16 Pro family and up
  • Wireless charging only works with generic Qi chargers; this model has no MagSafe magnetic system, so MagSafe accessories will not attach
  • This model has only one rear camera (not two or three); the 2x telephoto is a digital crop of the main sensor, not a separate lens
  • The front camera is not the 18MP Center Stage camera found on Pro/Air models
  • No power adapter or EarPods in the box; only a USB-C cable is included
  • The USB-C port on this model is USB 2 speed only (up to 480Mb/s)
  • This phone is eSIM-only with no physical SIM tray; confirm your carrier supports eSIM before buying
  • The maximum storage for this model is 512GB; there is no 1TB option
  • IP68 resistance is not permanent and decreases with wear; Apple does not cover liquid damage under warranty
  • Regional Apple models differ — ask the seller which model you are getting

Frequently asked questions

Why does iPhone 16e have only one camera? Is photo quality lower?
To keep this model simple and affordable, Apple fitted a single 48MP Fusion sensor (26 mm, ƒ/1.6) instead of the two or three cameras on other models. The same sensor also produces a 2x digital telephoto crop (12MP, 52 mm equivalent), with digital zoom up to 10x. So the main camera's image quality is the same 48MP Fusion family as other current iPhones — it just lacks a separate ultra-wide or optical telephoto lens.
Does iPhone 16e support MagSafe?
No. Per Apple's official spec sheet, wireless charging on this model only works with generic Qi chargers, with no mention of the MagSafe magnetic system — unlike every other model in the 16/17 family, which does have MagSafe. That means MagSafe cases and magnetic battery packs will not snap onto this phone; it needs to be positioned manually on a Qi charger to charge wirelessly.
Does iPhone 16e have the Camera Control button?
No. Per Apple's official button list, this model only has the volume buttons, the side button and the customizable Action button. The Camera Control button is exclusive to the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max family and up, and is not fitted on the 16e.
What's the difference between iPhone 16e and the standard iPhone 16?
iPhone 16e is the most affordable member of the family, and to reach that price Apple simplified several things: one rear camera instead of two, a 4-core GPU instead of more, a traditional notch instead of Dynamic Island, no Camera Control button, no magnetic MagSafe, no Ultra Wideband, Wi-Fi 6 instead of 7, and just two colors instead of the iPhone 16's five. In return it keeps the same A18 chip family (with one fewer GPU core), the same Apple Intelligence support, and the same Ceramic Shield/IP68 body.
Is the iPhone 16e SIM physical or eSIM only?
Per Apple's official spec sheet (US model), this configuration has no physical SIM tray and runs on eSIM only — two eSIMs can be active at once, and the device stores eight or more. Always ask the seller which regional model they're selling before buying, and confirm your carrier supports eSIM.
