Visit the storeValentino Uomo Born in Roma Intense Eau de Parfum is the deeper, after-dark reading of the men's Born in Roma line, launched in 2023. Valentino describes it as a seductive ambery fougère that mixes lavandin with a vanilla infusion — the same Born in Roma signature, but warmer, more leathery and heavier.
The pyramid is deliberately simple: a vanilla infusion on top, lavandin at the heart and smoky vetiver in the base. Unlike most vanilla-driven scents the vanilla here is not syrupy — the brand calls it an unsweetened, leathery note, given depth by the vetiver heart and lifted by the floral-aromatic freshness of lavandin. It was composed by Antoine Maisondieu and Guillaume Flavigny.
The flacon is the same Rockstud-inspired bottle as the rest of the line, but its colour is the version marker: black glass on top, a red band through the middle and a clear base — a gradient the house reads as nightfall over Rome. Note that this is not the same fragrance as Valentino Uomo Intense, which belongs to a completely separate line.
