Gucci Bloom Eau de Parfum Intense, launched in 2023, is the deeper, more nocturnal chapter of the Bloom family. Inspired by moonlight, it takes Bloom's white-flower bouquet and makes it darker, fuller and more sensual. It was composed by Alberto Morillas, the same perfumer behind the original 2017 Bloom.

It opens on juicy pear, ginger essence and mandarin. The heart turns around Jasmine Sambac absolute, tuberose and Lady of the Night — the night-blooming flower that multiplies the white-floral effect after dark. The base settles into patchouli essence, coconut and a crystal moss accord, giving a velvety, earthy trail. That mossy-patchouli base is exactly what separates Intense from the original Bloom.

The bottle is its own signature: a lacquered black glass cube with a gold frame and a peach oval sunburst label reading GUCCI BLOOM INTENSE, in a box carrying the Gucci Herbarium Toile de Jouy print in red on peach. Note that it is not the same fragrance as Nettare di Fiori or Ambrosia di Fiori, which are also labelled Eau de Parfum Intense.

Intense is the richest Eau de Parfum reading of the Bloom line, and thanks to its patchouli-and-moss base it usually feels heavier and longer-lasting than the original Bloom. The brand publishes no official longevity figure, because it depends on skin chemistry, season and how much you spray; wearers describe it as a strong, evening-friendly presence.
How is Bloom Intense different from the original Bloom and Bloom Eau de Toilette?
All three belong to one family but they are three different fragrances. The original Bloom (2017, Eau de Parfum, pale pink bottle) is built on tuberose, Rangoon creeper and orris root. Bloom Eau de Toilette (2022, frosted pink bottle with a pink cap) is lighter and more citrusy, opening on neroli, bergamot and lemon. Intense (2023) comes in a lacquered black bottle, opens on pear and ginger and finishes on patchouli, moss and coconut, which makes it far more nocturnal. Quick shopping cue: black bottle means Intense; a pink bottle is either the original Bloom or the Eau de Toilette.
