Visit the storeValentino Uomo Born in Roma Extradose is the newest and most concentrated chapter of the men's Born in Roma line, launched in 2025. Valentino's own site introduces it in exactly those terms: the family's highest concentration, built around an extra dose of vetiver.
The family is fougere woody ambery. It opens on a bright spice blend with bergamot and mandarin essences, moves to a lavandin heart twisted with salty notes, and settles on a vetiver heart with guaiac wood for a warm, leathery drydown. Where Born in Roma Intense is led by vanilla, here the vetiver and the spices come forward and the sweetness is far lower.
The physical marker is unmistakable: the Rockstud bottle is all glossy black glass this time — no red band like the Intense, no clear glass like the base version. The carton reads EXTRADOSE under BORN IN ROMA, with PARFUM below it. A parfum concentration means a higher perfume-oil load, so both projection and longevity sit above the two earlier versions of the same family.
