Visit the storeRoberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum is the Italian house's signature women's fragrance, launched in 2012. This is the original base version — not Paradiso and not Paradiso Rosa — and it belongs to the oriental-floral family, built around orange blossom as a symbol of Italian femininity.
According to the brand's official site the pyramid opens on green mandarin, pink peppercorn and ambrette seed, moves through a heart of orange flower, jasmine sambac and mirabelle plum, and settles on benzoin Laos, patchouli and vanilla absolute. The result is sweet but never syrupy: bright white florals up top, resinous and powdery in the dry down. It was composed by Louise Turner.
The bottle carries the Cavalli signature: an oval sculpted flacon with a gold neck, an animal-print collar and a tiara-shaped stopper holding the interlocking R and C monogram. The gold box with its turquoise crackle band and animal-print panel is printed 2.5 FL OZ / 75 ml — the simplest way to tell this size apart from the 50 ml.
