Visit the storeDunhill Icon Absolute launched in 2015 as the darker, more oriental reading of the Icon line, and was initially exclusive to Harrods in London. Where the original Icon is a bright woody-floral office scent, Absolute is a heavy woody-spicy fragrance built around oud and leather.
It opens on black pepper and bergamot, moves through a heart of saffron, black rose and jasmine, and rests on agarwood (oud), leather and tobacco leaf. Global user voting puts it firmly in winter and autumn and in the evening, and its dominant accord is leather — this is an occasion scent for cold weather, not a daily office pick.
The bottle is a cylinder wrapped in gold-toned metal with a raised diamond texture, gold rings top and bottom, and a cap topped with black lacquer bearing the dunhill signature. The gold box carries the same texture with a black "dunhill LONDON / ICON / ABSOLUTE" panel and, along the base, "EAU DE PARFUM … 3.4 FL. OZ./100 mL". As an Eau de Parfum it is richer and longer-lasting than an Eau de Toilette.
